Lewes Ladies Lift Ryman League Cup

Lewes Ladies completed a League and Cup double on Wednesday, winning the Ryman League Cup 3-0 against Eastbourne Town.

Played in atrocious conditions, the Rooks got of to a great start when Freddie Baker nipped in to put Lewes ahead in the fourth minute.

The visitors were quite comfortable, hitting the woodwork three times in the first half and keeping the Town goalkeeper busy, including a save from Naomi Cole which she somehow managed to fumble over the bar from 12 yards out.

Lewes boss Jacquie Agnew was getting increasingly frustrated with the wasted opportunities from her players but before she turned the hairdryer on them in the interval, Cole doubled the Lewes lead with a great strike from the edge of the area.

The Rooks turned the heat up a little after the break with Holly Grogan working hard upfront alongside Tammy Waine, and Player of the Match Cole bossing things in midfield.

With the rain fluctuating between monsoon and not-quite-monsoon, both sets of players found it difficult to play football on a sticky pitch but this didn’t bother Cole who teed herself up just inside the area for a rasping shot which dipped over the keeper to make it 3-0 to Lewes.

The scoreline stayed this way until the end which meant that the Ladies were able to add the Ryman League Cup to the Women’s South-East Combination League title and the runners-up spot in the Sussex County Cup.

On Sunday, the team travel to Luton in their final league game of a season which has so far seen them remain unbeaten in the league, a record which Agnew and the players will be keen to ensure lasts until the final whistle.

We provide the fulfilment and distribution for the e-commerce site as well as handling the replenishment orders of their stores and concession stands; we have put in place dedicated delivery vehicles to provide the additional care and attention needed. Through long standing partnerships we also handle international deliveries. In order to meet IATA regulations for international deliveries we have trained personnel so that we can pack and ship dangerous goods within regulations with ease and no additional work to our client.

Start-up Luxury Organic Products, in 2005 a start-up company joined CDL with 4 products lines and only an internet presence. Through working with this client by 2010 they had grown their product range to over 150 product lines and along with the internet presence their products are being sold in major UK retailers and have wholesalers all around the world. CDL was there at the beginning and it gives us the utmost joy to see a client experience this kind of success whilst in our care.

CDL Announces Major Improvements to its I.T.

CDL have started the New Year on a high with the news that major improvements to its internet based management system IFS (Integrated Fulfilment System) are being rolled out, and with all planned improvements expected to be complete within the next three months.

Improvements to the fulfillment system will allow for a more advanced service for both its UK based and International customers. This includes Fast Track Picking, which will enable the picker to pre-sort items providing a better and more efficient service, and also improves accuracy. Other key changes will see users able to create their own bespoke reports and easily identify their top products. As before, IFS will continue to provide around the clock access to stock details, order processing and parcel delivery reports on storage and distribution services.

Many more important developments still in the pipeline, and with the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and Olympic Games set to take over London in the summer of 2012, our customers can be rest-assured that CDL will offer the best service on storage of products in its secure Warehouses around the M25, and of course a timely and efficient service on parcel delivery.
